FIRM MERGERS AND NEW OFFICE OPENINGS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
- 2010-Introduced and facilitated in bringing together Atlanta-based Kilpatrick Stockton LLP and San Francisco Bay Area-based Bell Rosenberg & Hughes LLP. The law firm combination created a new national construction and infrastructure practice group and marked the occasion of Kilpatrick’s first office in California. Follow-on searches being performed.
- 2005-Introduced specialists in IP litigation/counseling and employment law to establish new Silicon Valley office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP (now K&L Gates LLP), an internationally recognized law firm. Additional searches have followed.
- 2005-Facilitated merger between Preston Gates & Ellis LLP (now K&L Gates LLP) and Berg & Parker LLP, a San Francisco-based real estate and bankruptcy boutique. Developed initial strategy. - 1990-Assisted in opening San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins LLP, an internationally recognized law firm. Collaborated with client to devise strategy to stage opening of office, including market analysis and practice area targets. Recruited former head of the national litigation practice of a major firm to anchor the office and drive further lateral partner hiring. Candidate later became firm-wide head of litigation.
